Blind Horse
2 readers

Blind Horse I is the beginning of a story about Ksenija Laporek. She moves from Slovenia to Fryslân and marries Freek Wassenaar. Freek is Friso’s grandad, the main character of De trekker fan Troje (The Trojan tractor), published in 2017. Hein Jaap Hilarides’ upcoming book is going to be the prequel of that novel. Hilarides stayed in Maribor in the autumn of 2017. He did a lot of research about the city and its environment in the first part of the 20th century. The chapter was produced during his literary residency.
