A (Basque) hallucination is the translation into English of the literary piece that Eneko Aizpurua created for Other Words. Aizpurua carried out an eight-week residency in Leeuwarden, Friesland, in the autumn of 2017, where he was hosted by the Oare Wurden team.
This is André Looijenga's description of the creation work that he did for Other Words in Bitola, Macedonia:
"My travel short story "The Train to Monastir" is based on my journey by train and bus between Budapest and Bitola in June 2016. I have intertwined my impressions of landscapes, cities and crossing borders and chance encounters with other travellers and local people with recollections of the history of the Balkans, especially to the last half century of Ottoman rule in Macedonia."
Yoseba Peña wrote IXO (1987) during his Other Words residency in Dublin at the end of 2016. It corresponds to the first chapters of the third (and last) part of his novel IXO, due to come out in 2018. Diana Draper has translated it into English.
